Resumen

Fundamentalmente, desde la semiótica de la cultura propuesta por Iuri Lotman, se promueve un modelo de descripción inicial para explicar la mutación semiótica o de sentido de un texto que ha atravesado distintas esferas culturales como parte de su ubicación histórica y cultural permitiendo la recuperación de la alteridad negada o la visión diversa de la realidad a través de la lengua, otorgando un modelo diferente de realidad. Se explora la mutación semiótica del Popol Vuh al Pop Wuj donde se configura una suerte de tensiones que conducen a un proceso de traducciones con distintas direcciones que se identifican en el modelo de descripción propuesto.

Semiotic Mutation of a text: Strain between Popol Vuh and Pop Wuj (Barreto González, Juan José)

Abstract Taking into account the semiotic of culture proposed by Iuri Lotman, we want to promote an initial description model which might explain what we consider semiotic mutation or the sense of a text which has undergone different cultural spheres as part of its historic and cultural location, allowing the recovering of the denied alterability or the diverse vision of the reality through language granting a model different from reality. Semiotic mutation is explored from Popol Vuh to Pop Wuj in which a sort of strain is present, and it leads to a process of translations which aim at different directions which could be identified in the proposed model.
