| dc.description.abstract | Entre 1966 y 1985 se publicaron los diez volúmenes de la Historia de la Universidad de Los Andes de Eloi Chalbaud cardona, los cuales que representan el mayor esfuerzo para rescatar y dar a conocer la memoria histórica de la ULA desde su fundación en 1810 hasta 1921, incluyendo el antecedente educativo precedente del instituto universitario: el Seminario Conciliar de San Buenaventura. Se trata de una extensa compilación documental acompañada de interpretaciones y comentarios del autor sobre diversos hechos del acontecer universitario, particularmente del siglo XIX y primera década del XX. Para dar a conocer
el aporte de esta historia, hemos dividido el artículo en los siguientes aspectos: origen de la obra, su autor, ediciones, contenido y características de los documentos incluidos en la misma. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | Between 1966 and 1985, the ten volumes of the History of the Universidad de Los Andes of Eloi Chalbaud Cardona were published, representing a major effort to rescue and make known the historical memory of the ULA from its foundation in 1810 until 1921, including the educational predecessor, the university institute known as the Seminario Conciliar de San Buenaventura. This work consists of an extensive documental compilation drawing on different archives in Mérida, Caracas and Spain, accompanied by interpretations and comments by the author about diverse university occurences, particularly in the nineteenth century and the fi rst decade of the twentieth century. In order to make known this history, we have divided the article in the following aspects: origin of the work, the author, edition, content and the characteristics of the documents that are included in the publication. | es_VE |
