dc.description.abstractLa concepción indígena de Miguel Acosta Saignes representa un eje fundamental en sus estudios acerca de las divisiones sociales, sobre la base de un pensamiento antropológico que tuvo sus comienzos con la formación que recibió en la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia de México y la influencia del materialismo histórico dialéctico, lo cual impulsó sus investigaciones acerca de la vida y significación histórica de las etnias indígenas en la cultura venezolana y latinoamericana, hacia el conocimiento y comprensión de la historia que promueve el respeto a las identidades culturales, la dignidad humana y la autodeterminación de los pueblos.es_VE
