dc.description.abstractRevelar y advertir la importancia del pasado a través de la historia oral pareciera que no es factible, muchos historiadores se fían simplemente del uso de fuentes de archivo y no juzgan convincente recuperar la memoria histórica mediante personajes que han sido considerados “anónimos”. Sin embargo, sabemos que en las últimas décadas la historia oral ha jugado un papel trascendental para obtener información que dificultosamente podríamos encontrar en libros o documentos de archivo. En este texto se expone la conexión entre el significado del pasado y la identidad humana mediante el uso de narraciones y sucedidos en torno a San Antonio relatados por Gumersindo España Olivares, artesano y cronista de Juventino Rosas, Gto., comunidad donde perviven cuantiosas historias y leyendas que se han preservado gracias a la tradición oral y que nuestro personaje aprendió desde niño al escuchar a su abuelo relatarlas, salvaguardando así gran parte de la memoria e identidad del pueblo.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1Revealing and emphasizing the importance of the past through oral history seems not feasible, many historians simply rely on the use of archival sources and do not recognize the importance of recovering the historical memories through people who have been considered “anonymous”. However, we know that in recent decades the oral history has been a relevant method to obtain information that is difficult to find in books or files. This paper describes the connection between the meaning of the past and the human identity by means of stories and facts about San Antonio Olivares. This was reported by Gumersindo España Olivares, craftsman and chronicler of Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato. This city has stories and legends that have been preserved through oral tradition and that our character learned as a child listening to his grandfather, thereby he safeguarded an important part of the memory and identity of the people.es_VE
