| es_VE |

dc.description.abstract1 | In this work I estimate and then crated model of the numerical importance and the distribution of six plant species in an altitudinal gradient in an Andean Páramo in Venezuela. Afterward, I simulated the possible modifications of this distribution in climate change scenarios. A climatic and topographic description of the basin of Turmero creek, located in the Páramo de Piedras Blancas in the Mérida state, for which the creation of a precipitation map and a Digital Elevation Model was necessary. From this information, and field samplings stratified in relation to slope and altitude, models of space distribution for the Espeletia species schultzii, Coespeletia timotensis, Hypericum laricifolium, Acaena cylindrostachya and Calandrinia acaulis, in which the distribution of these species in relation to the temperature and the slope of the land is evaluated. These models were achieved using generalized lineal models and GIS. I found that there are differences in the altitudinal optimal in the different stages from the caulescent rosettes, and that although the altothermic gradient remains the same, there are evidences that show an increase of the temperature in the study area. Later, the possible changes that the model of space distribution would experience in different climate change scenarios were evaluated. Differences in the intensity of the answer between the considered species were found. It is important to emphasize that four of the five species for which model the present distribution were achived, showed an altitudinal shift. | es_VE |
