dc.description.abstractA partir de la revisión de muestras de producciones escritas elaboradas bajo el carácter de ensayo académico, esta investigación se propone explorar las representaciones de los procesos de lectura y escritura como componentes del perfil profesional en estudiantes de Ingeniería. Asimismo, examina las marcas lingüísticas del discurso escrito al producir este texto académico, desarrollado en la acción pedagógica de la asignatura Lengua y Comunicación I, adscrita a la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Los Andes (Mérida-Venezuela). Los hallazgos acentúan que el grupo de informantes, estudiantes ubicados en diferentes momentos de la carrera, resaltan la importancia en la adquisición de aspectos formativos generales y especializados de la carrera, advirtiéndose las representaciones sociales sobre la lectura y la escritura como procesos irrelevantes en la etapa profesional.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1After reviewing samples of written works made as academic essays, this research proposes to explore the representations of reading and writing processes as part of engineering students’ professional profile. Additionally, it analyses the linguistic markers of written discourse when producing this academic text, developed during the pedagogical action of the Language and Communication I subject, adscribed to the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Los Andes (Mérida – Venezuela). The results emphasize that the sample, students of different levels of the degree, highlights the importance of the acquisition of general and specialized training aspects of the course, advising the social representations of reading and writing as irrelevant processes of the career.es_VE
