| dc.description.abstract | El campo de la promoción de la salud se ha caracterizado por ser adultocéntrico. Es un área que paradójicamente ha priorizado la atención infantil pero sin embargo la opinión de los niños es poco
considerada. La presente investigación de corte cualitativo, que tiene como informantes clave a 19 niños
de educación básica con edades comprendidas de 6 a 11 años, analiza las representaciones sociales
sobre la salud en niños de edad escolar. Para recabar la información se emplearon las técnicas de la observación participante, el registro anecdótico y el dibujo. Los hallazgos revelan que para entender las representaciones sociales sobre salud en los niños, hay que considerar el anclaje de una serie de
creencias: sentido ecológico, infl uencia socio-educativa, aspecto comunicacional-recreativo, espacios de atención, convivencia, protección y dinamismo. Asimismo hay que tomar en cuenta la infl uencia de unos principios: sentido de pertenencia hacia la comunidad, información socio-afectiva, tiempo
libre y de ocio de los niños, Instituciones Comunitarias aisladas, cultura de insufi ciente participación
comunitaria, actitud pasiva frente a problemas de la comunidad y demandas del mundo moderno. La contribución metodológica de este trabajo está en considerar aspectos subjetivos, especialmente de los niños, para el respectivo abordaje comunitario. | es_VE |

| dc.description.abstract1 | The fi eld of health promotion has been characterized as adult-centered. It is an area that has
paradoxically prioritized child care but nevertheless the opinion of children is little considered.
The present qualitative research, which has as key informants 19 basic education children aged 6
to 11 years, Analyzes social representations about health in school-aged children. The information
was obtained through the techniques of participant observation, anecdotal record and the drawing.
The data demonstrate that to understand the social representations of health in children, should be
considered the anchoring a series of belief as: ecological sense, socio-educational infl uence, point of
view comunicational-recreative, attention spaces, connivance, protection and dynamism. In addition,
principles related to such anchor: sense of belonging to the community, socio-affective information,
time leisure of children, Community Institutions isolated, little culture of community participation,
attitude passive to community problems and demand of the modern world. The methodological
contribution of this work is to consider subjective aspects, especially of children, for the respective
