dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo se presentan nociones respecto al poder, la guerra y la raza basadas en el pensamiento de Michel Foucault, vincula el concepto de identidad de Manuel Castells aplicándolo a la realidad sudanesa de 1956-2011.Ambos autores ofrecen una interpretación del escenario de confl icto armado continuo que ha vivido la República de Sudán desde su nacimiento hasta la independencia de los territorios del sur en 2011. El artículo analiza la problemática surgida de la rica diversidad social y cultural existente y vincula el concepto de guerra de razas con la esclavitud, elemento que ha marcado el devenir histórico del país.es_VE

dc.description.abstract1This paper introduces the notions of power, war, and race based on the thought of Michel Foucault, as well as linking Manuel Castells' concept of identity by applying it to the Sudanese reality of 1956-2011. Both authors offer an interpretation of the scenario of continuous armed conflict the Republic of Sudan has experienced since its birth until the independence of the southern territories in 2011. For this purpose, the article analyses the problems arising from the rich social and cultural diversity and links the concept of race war with slavery as an element that has marked the country's historical evolution.es_VE
