| dc.description.abstract | Una sociedad culturalmente cambiante requiere de integrantes formados con una
concepción clara, crítica y flexible ante los cambios. Enfrentar estos desafíos exige
de un sistema educativo que se destaque por la aplicación de una enseñanza llevada a
impulsar y fortalecer las habilidades del pensamiento crítico y la formación integral
de los estudiantes; esta investigación tiene como finalidad obtener acercamientos a la
definición de pensamiento crítico y como desarrollarlo en los estudiantes de educación
media tomando en cuenta la importancia que tiene el docente en esta labor; es por ello
que se aplicó una encuesta de preguntas cerradas a 21 docentes de la institución
Complejo Educativo “Dr. Argimiro Andara Matheus” la cual consto de 4 preguntas que
permitieron recolectar información y analizar que un 38% de docentes conocen muy poco
la definición de pensamiento crítico, un 19% reflejo que no es necesario el
pensamiento crítico y un 43% indico que no aplican estrategias para generar el
pensamiento crítico. Resultados que llaman la atención e indican que la educación
actual en esta institución carece de docentes formados para educar en base al
pensamiento crítico, lo que puede estar generando la desmotivación en sus estudiantes.

and strengthen the skills of critical thinking and the integral formation of students;
this research aims to obtain approaches to the definition of critical thinking and how
to develop it in middle school students taking into account the importance of the
