Abstract
El presente trabajo es resultado de una amplia labor investigativa realizada como parte de un proyecto sociocultural para el rescate, preservación y valorización de la cultura de los inmigrantes haitianos en la comunidad de Báguanos, municipio de la provincia de Holguín. En él se recoge un estudio antropológico y sociocultural de este lugar, testigo de las migraciones haitianas y su infl uencia en la cultura y en las tradiciones que conforman la
historia de esta región, además, posee un análisis de las diferentes manifestaciones culturales desarrolladas por estos inmigrantes. Por tanto, el objetivo de la investigación estuvo centrado en demostrar la trascendencia cultural de los inmigrantes haitianos en la comunidad de
Báguanos desde 1918 hasta la actualidad.

| Resumen en otro Idioma | The present paper is the result of comprehensive research realized as part of a social-cultural project for the rescue, preservation and valuation of Haitian immigrant culture in the Baguanos municipality in the Holguìn province. It compiles an anthropological and sociocultural study of this place, discusses Haitian migrations and their infl uence on the culture, as well as traditions that have formed the history of this region. Th e work includes an analysis of various cultural aspects introduced by the Haitian immigrants. Th e objective of this research is to demonstrate progressive cultural adaptation as an ongoing transcendental movement in the culture of Haitian immigrants in the Baguanos community from year 1918 to the present. |
