Abstract
Una obra poética puede ser, a la vez, un discurso argumentativo, como en ell caso
del libro en verso Dlida y amor sobre el Ser Supremo (1985), de Dámaso Alonso. Se
pregunta aquí qué es lo que convierte en poéticos ciertos textos argumentativos y en qué
niveles del lenguaje se ubican lo poético y lo persuasivo. Gracias al funcionalismo, se
puede integrar, sobre firmes bases lingüísticas, las antiguas ciencias de la poética y la
retórica, para llevar al cabo un análisis de las micro- y macro-estructuras de expresión y de contenido. La investigación descubre, a través de este análisis del texto, una fuerte
interdependencia entre las funciones poéticas y conativas.

Here we ask what it is that makes certain argumentative texts poetic and in which levels of the language are located what we perceive as poetic and persuasive. Thanks to functionalism, it becomes possible to integrate, on a solid lingui stic foundation, the ancient sciences of poetics and rhetoric, to thereby carry out an analysis of the micro- and macro-structures of expression and content. This research discove rs, through the analysis of the text, a strong interdependence between the poetic and conative functions. |
