Resumo
La autora quiere con el presente trabajo confrontar la imagen idílica del <<Edén>> caribeño con un análisis de la geografía cultural de esta zona, para incursionar luego en el ámbito de la literatura e intentar presentar su significado alterno más acorde con lo que el Caribe constituye frente a América Latina
