Abstract
El presente artículo tiene como propósito reflexionar sobre la relación entre educación, escuela y desarrollo local, evidenciando los fundamentos y principios subyacentes en la implantación de proyectos relativos al mejoramiento de condiciones de vida comunitaria. A través de la sistematización de propuestas sobre el tópico de investigación y luego del proceso de acopio de información teórica, se visualizó la relevancia de la educación como herramienta de cambio social y espacio articulador de iniciativas sobre desarrollo local, tomando la escuela como instancia generadora de propuestas sustentadas en la participación ciudadana y diálogo efectivo con el objeto de hacer viable la transformación social y comunitaria.
